Logros Advisory Partners advises on the sale of MariTrace, a maritime intelligence and vessel tracking platform, to Sinay

Logros Advisory Partners is pleased to announce that it has successfully advised the shareholders of MariTrace, a UK-based maritime intelligence and vessel tracking platform, on the sale of the business to Sinay (France), a global maritime data and analytics company.

MariTrace is a UK-based maritime intelligence platform providing real-time vessel tracking, AIS data integration, and advanced maritime risk intelligence, with particular strength in high-risk maritime corridors and complex operating environments. The platform delivers high-quality, actionable data and insights, enabling customers across shipping, insurance, and maritime security sectors to make informed operational and strategic decisions.

Sinay is a French maritime data and analytics company focused on delivering integrated intelligence solutions across vessel tracking, cargo visibility, and environmental data. The acquisition forms part of Sinay’s strategic vision to build a comprehensive, end-to-end maritime intelligence platform, combining multiple maritime data sources into a single, unified solution to support global trade and operational decision-making.

The transaction represents an important milestone for the MariTrace founders Thomas Owen & Simon Rathbone, enabling the business to join a larger international platform aligned with its long-term growth strategy while maintaining continuity for its customers, team, and operations. MariTrace will continue to operate as a UK-based business, with its existing technology platform, customer relationships, and support structure remaining in place.

The combination of MariTrace’s expertise in real-time vessel intelligence and high-risk maritime environments with Sinay’s broader maritime data capabilities significantly enhances the overall proposition. The enlarged platform will deliver deeper data insights, improved maritime analytics, and stronger decision-making tools across global shipping, logistics, and environmental monitoring.

Logros Advisory Partners acted as corporate finance advisor to the shareholders of MariTrace, with Nick Horrocks leading the transaction and supporting the shareholders throughout the full sale process, from initial positioning through to completion.

Thomas Owen, CEO & Founder of MariTrace, commented:

“This marks an exciting new chapter for MariTrace as we join forces with a company that shares our vision for delivering high-quality, actionable maritime intelligence. This partnership allows us to further develop our platform and expand the insights and services we provide to our customers.

I would also like to thank Nick Horrocks and the team at Logros Advisory Partners for their support, guidance, and commitment throughout the transaction process. Their advice and hands-on approach were instrumental in achieving this outcome.”

Nick Horrocks, Logros Advisory Partners, added:

“MariTrace has developed a highly differentiated maritime intelligence platform, combining real-time vessel tracking with deep expertise in high-risk and complex operating environments. This transaction represents a strong strategic fit with Sinay, creating a broader, integrated maritime data platform with significant international growth potential. We are delighted to have supported Thomas and the team in achieving this successful outcome.”
