Schroders Personal Wealth (SPW) is one of the UK’s leading financial planning firms, offering tailored wealth management advice to clients across the country. Among their clients are many successful business owners — individuals who will at some point consider selling, retiring, or transitioning their company.

Recognising that exit planning conversations can be both technical and emotional, SPW wanted to strengthen their advisors’ capability in this area. They partnered with Logros Advisory Partners (LAP), a specialist M&A and corporate finance advisory firm, to deliver a practical, outcomes-focused training workshop.

 

The Objective

The aim of the workshop was threefold:

  1. Build advisor confidence in starting exit and succession conversations
  2. Help advisors understand the motivations behind business sales
  3. Create a seamless referral pathway into LAP for deeper client support

The sessions were designed to unlock long-term value for both clients and advisors by aligning financial advice with strategic business decisions.

 

Our Approach

To meet these objectives, LAP developed and delivered a targeted training experience during SPW’s Regional Advisor Day. Advisors attended one of three tailored 20-minute workshops, structured around real-life client examples from their own books.
